I'm reaching out to let you know that I have stepped down as Director of Dividends Nebraska as of April 1 to pursue a new opportunity with First National Bank. I've greatly enjoyed my time working with all of you to advance the business and economic development case for high-quality early care and learning opportunities.

This issue is as important now as it was ten years ago, when Nebraska's business leaders first came together to talk about why early childhood matters to the prosperity of our state and its citizens. We've seen that quality early learning opportunities not only point the way to a stronger future workforce--they also strengthen our civic and economic infrastructure in the here-and-now by making our state a more desirable place to raise a family, build a career and grow a business.

I'm proud to have worked with you on advancing that conversation. Together, we've made some real gains in public policy as well as community-level efforts. Even though I'm moving on to a new position, I'm still as passionate about this issue as I was when I first came to Dividends Nebraska as its director. I plan to stay engaged as this work continues to evolve.

In the weeks and months ahead, you can expect to hear about new and exciting developments in our efforts to make early childhood a fundamental principle of economic development in Nebraska. The circle of Nebraska business leaders taking an active interest in early childhood is wider than ever. I encourage you to keep that circle growing.

I look forward to crossing paths with many of you in the future.

All the best--

Drew Theophilus
